May 13, 2021

Welcome to The Kayleigh O’Keefe Show!

Today we are joined by Michelle Aspinwall, Age Alchemist and Integrative Biohacker. So what does an Age Alchemist and Integrative Biohacker do? Michelle explains that as an Age Alchemist, she works with women around how to enjoy the aging process and truly embrace the needs of their bodies as they grow older. As an Integrative Biohacker, Michelle combines the innovations of Western science with the tools of Eastern medicine to help women live more fulfilling and vibrant lives.

Tune into this week’s episode for a conversation about enjoying the aging process and living your most vibrant life. Learn about the benefits of intermittent fasting, the health risks of birth control pills, and why medical diagnoses often leave much to be desired. Discover how you can age timelessly by purposefully listening to what your body is trying to tell you.

Quotes

• “When I say age alchemist, what I really do is I work with women around aging and hormones and how to really number one: enjoy the aging process, number two: really understand what the female body...and the female hormonal system does, particularly between the ages of 38 and 52. It’s a massively expansive time for women, even though sometimes it’s like the decade that feels like it lasts a lifetime for a lot of women.” (4:22-4:52)

• “The aging process, which most women are trying to defy or turn back or flip the switch...all that terminology kind of implies to us that we have to stay young, look younger than our years. And I actually completely disagree with that.” (5:07-5:24)

• “I aspire to calibrate to that energy – the energy of not feeling like I have to live in another time and space to actually fit into my life or to fit into the world.” (5:44-5:58)

• “When I say integrative biohacker, I basically combine both worlds: the world of cutting-edge Western science that women have available to them that the don’t necessarily understand or know how to use and then the means of using herbs, using really targeted breath work, really specific lifestyle hacks that move the needle tremendously if one commits to them in frequency.” (12:17-12:46)

• “When a woman learns how to lead herself through both the good and the bad, that’s true mastery, right? Like that’s radical responsibility and hormone mastery.” (18:29-18:39)

• “I know that souls line up for the human experience. It’s an exciting journey to jump into the body and have this experience where we get to touch things, and we get to feel pleasure, and we get to watch children grow up, and we get to experience hair and skin and warmth and cold, like the physical things of being human.” (44:58-45:20)
