The Future is Human - with Kayleigh O'Keefe

Jun 8, 2021

Since its inception, The Kayleigh O’Keefe Show Podcast has undergone several shifts. What began as a way for host Kayleigh O’Keefe to simply share her reflections and ideas has since become a platform for her to interview guests about their corporate and entrepreneurial journeys.

However, while Kayleigh is incredibly excited about all of the guests she has queued up for the coming months, she has also recognized a need within herself to return to the podcast’s roots. Expression is Kayleigh’s soul medicine, and without expression, she finds herself falling back into old patterns of behavior that no longer serve her.

Tune into this episode of the Kayleigh O’Keefe Show to learn more in depth about the origins of this podcast and Kayleigh’s intentions for the show moving forward! We are all seeking to learn, understand and grow, and this podcast aims to serve and support you on that journey.

Quotes

• “If you can believe it, I started the podcast 16 months ago in January of 2020 from the living room closet in my apartment in downtown San Francisco.” (2:28-2:46)

• “Excellence, wisdom, truth, joy: these are the guiding virtues, the things I want to call forth in myself, and I view the podcast as a way to do that.”  (4:51-5:10)

• “For me, the podcast is simply a form of expression. And maybe in that way, it is tied to the business….Especially when I get to come on here solo and just speak from the heart, maybe what it is modeling is expression. Maybe it is modeling finding your voice. Maybe I am out here, through this podcast, sharing what it’s like to observe the world, to observe the inner world, to have that circulate through your emotions and through your thoughts and to come out in the form of a perspective.” (7:10-7:48)

• “Expression is my soul medicine. And what that means is that when I do not express, whether it’s just a comment in the moment, a deeper opinion or perspective, it is really bad for my soul. It is bad for my soul excellence...but I tend to not notice it right away.” (8:43-9:10)

• “One of my superpowers is to observe and respond. I’ve always been someone who’s fairly conscientious, who’s aware of their surroundings and sensing, ‘Ok, is this a place where I need to step up and lead, or step up and follow, or step up and serve?’” (14:18-14:36)
