Social media can be a wonderful tool for fostering connections, but we all know it can also be distracting and overwhelming. In this episode Kayleigh shares her rationale - and lessons learned - from taking a weekend off of social media.
Even though Kayleigh was doing a social media detox, she still woke up that first morning and immediately tried to open her Instagram app. Breaking habits is difficult, so set yourself up for success by logging out of your social media apps, deleting them if necessary, and at minimum, moving them off your home screen. When you step back from social media, you will be able to be more present in the moment.
Take time to reconnect with nature and make space for your own inner world. You may be surprised by how much more openness, spaciousness, connectedness, and possibility you feel when you take a break from social media, even for just a few days.
